The label was founded in Spring 2009 by Iron Void guitarist/vocalist Steve Wilson. The initial releases were professionally pressed CDR's limited to batches of 100 copies. By mid 2010, it became apparent that there was a demand for more than these small amounts, and also higher quality factory masterered CD's. The first of these was The Sleeping Wizard by GROAN (NOID005). The online distro was added to the site after trading copies of the initial releases with a few labels. The store continues to expand with new stock being added all the time.

Doomanoid Records is an independent label that is competing with much bigger compainies with much more money behind them. We appreciate every sale and invest as much as possible back into more stock and new releases. We are sticking to a small roster of bands to keep things as manageable as possible. IRON VOID - Spell of Ruin (NOID003)

We are proud to announce the long-awaited studio EP from this highly acclaimed West Yorkshire Doom band. 4 full songs, 25 minutes playing time. The EP was recorded in January 2010 at Orion Studios in South Yorkshire with their short-lived twin guitar line up. The band have since returned to their roots as a power-trio, but have lost none of their power as anyone who has attended their recent live gigs will know. 100% underground, independent Yorkshire Doom Metal influenced by Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus and Pentagram, with a little Motorhead and Maiden thrown into the mix.

MHONOS - Miserere Nostri (NOID004)

MHONOS descirbe their music as "Dark, suffocating, mystical, cult... MHÖNOS finally emerges from the shadow of the crypt to offer its bewitching liturgy. Miserere Nostri is an esoteric mass, composed and recorded by friar S.G., master of the MHÖNOS project."


A mix of drone, ambient and black metal with throat-singing inspired by Tibetan monks and the tolling of church bells in the background, this is easily the heaviest Doomanoid release so far. 4 tracks, over 40 minutes playing time.

Expanded re-issue edition CD with two extra tracks recorded as a three-piece in summer 2010 - Drowning In Eternity and fan favourite Suicide Sorcerer (A remastered version of the one on Planet Doom Volume Two compilation. The vocals and lead guitars are now higher in the mix).

This definitive 6-track edition will be available here and in the from major UK retailers (Amazon, Play.com, HMV) courtesy of CODE7 via PHD distribution. This CD collects all 6 tracks recorded with drummer Diz Dyson, including the original EP recorded as a four-piece with Simon Guy on additional guitar.

The band plan to follow this release with their first full length album which will be the first recording with new drummer Tom 'Dexta' Hey. Details to follow.
